The AESOP Young Academics Network is a loosely structured branch of AESOP which encourages the active participation and exchange of academic work between PhD students, Post-doctoral and early career researchers, young activists and practitioners. Today, the network has more than 1400 registered members and continues to grow. The intention of the YA General Assembly is to introduce participants to the activities of the Network and to facilitate discussion around key challenges and opportunities facing young researchers today.

During the Lisbon Congress, younger academics are invited to participate in the Young Academics General Assembly. For this purpose, an exclusive time slot is reserved in the afternoon of the second day of the Congress, before the Mobile Workshops (July 12th, Wednesday).
